The SD-009 servo motor slave module is used to operate servo motors to actuate points, semaphore signals level crossing gates or any other accessory that requires positional linear motion. It connects directly to the central control unit (SD-001).
When the central control unit receives a command it decodes it and sends a data signal to the SD-009 slave unit which then drives the motor to a preset position to activate the accessory connected to it.
Up to four of these slave units can be connected to a central control unit.
The servo motor slave module can control two servo motors in response to the data sent from the central control unit. One central control unit and four servo motor slave modules can control a total of eight accessories.
The SD-009 servo motor slave module provides accutate positioning and smooth operation for the driven accessories. The stroke of the servo motor is fully adjustable.
The servo motor slave module requires a separate power supply of 12 - 14 V DC.
The servo motor slave module uses two accessory decoder addresses, one for each motor output.
When a command to change an accessory status is sent from the comamnd station, the central control unit receives the command via the track bus. When a command is received the central control unit decodes the command data packet to determine the accessory address and if a match is found the central control unit sends a data signal to the slave unit. The servo motor slave unit then sends a signal to the servo motor to change position of the accessory.
If an address match is not found the command is ignored and no signal is sent to the slave units and the accessory does not change status.
